Rotterdam Wedding Photographer
Irina and Rick wedding – Rotterdam Wedding Photographer. It was an honour for me to photograph this beautiful wedding.
When Irina contacted me, she told me that she doesn’t want to have standard wedding photos. She wanted to have something different from her big day.
That was the moment when I understood that we are on the same vibe. And that it will be fun working with this couple.
The ceremony started at Irina and Rick house. Irina comes from Kiev, so at their wedding were a few Ukranian traditions. For example her mother cooked “Karavaj” (Loaf). It is a Ukranian and Russian tradition to give it to newlyweds. “Karavaj” is considered as a symbol of happiness, prosperity and abundance.
Then we moved towards the City Hall where they said “YES”! to each other.
After the City Hall we went together with the newly married couple to a very beautiful place close to the harbour and had a creative photo shoot with the balloons there. After that we moved to the park. Where guests and many decorations were waiting for us. As a wedding photographer I was very delighted to see so many décor that Irina and Rick organised for a photo shoot. We had Ukranian and Dutch flags, flowers, different letters, leaves and hearts.
All of that in combination with a beautiful landscape of Rotterdam made the pictures look truly amazing.
The ceremony ended in the restaurant next to the river with a beautiful view over the Dutch Windmills.
Noize Suppressor through my camera
I am very excited to share the result from the photoshoot with one of my favourite Hardcore DJ’s Noize Suppressor.
My interest to photography and Hardcore appeared almost at the same time. Both of them emerged when I moved to Holland 4 years ago.
As you can imagine, in the military village close to Syberia nobody ever heard about Hardcore. As well as while living in Russia I could never imagine to connect my life with art. But that is a different story 🙂
So, while I was perfecting and polishing my photography skills, the desire to have a photo shoot with Noize Suppressor kept increasing. For me as a photographer it was impossible not to dream to photograph the people I admire and who’s music often plays in my speakers.
In August this year I had a chance to meet this great DJ during the party and was brave enough to give him my business card and invite to the photoshoot.
Just a few weeks later we made it happen. That day I had a full day wedding photoshoot in Rotterdam. As soon as I was done there I hurried up back to Amsterdam. Where my dream shoot with Noize Suppressor was about to happen:)
On the way back, while sitting in the train, I started to feel excited. I guess many people feel the same when there wishes come true.
And this feeling comes back when I look at this photos. It’s a really wonderful sensation when you make happen something that you really wanted.

Black and white photoshoot
In this blog post I would like to share with you the result from my recent black and white photoshoot.
I absolutely love black and white photography! I think that black and white gives a very sensitive touch to the pictures and makes them more deeper than their colourful version.
This time I had black and white photo shoot with a talented artist Lola Palmer from Ukraine who is currently based in Amsterdam. Lola is a DJ, musician and a producer. Her music can be found at soundcloud.com/lolapalmer .
In the day of our photo shoot Amsterdam welcomed us with it’s usual grey sky and raining cats and dogs. We were thinking to cancel our shoot, but because of our busy schedules the next available day for the shoot would be in one month. Which was too late for the release of new album of Lola for which she wanted to use the photos. So we went ahead despite the full beauty of the Dutch climate 🙂
We were sitting and sipping our coffees for a few hours at one of my favourite places in Amsterdam, W hotel. Which bar, Mr Porter, has an outstanding view over the whole city centre. And during short breaks of the rain we were running to the terrace, taking a few very quick shots and running back inside as quick as possible to not harm her make up and my camera.
I think considering very bad weather conditions we had to deal with, we got not the worst results from this black and white photoshoot 🙂
Mother son photoshoot in Amsterdam
In this blog post I would like to share with you the result from my recent mother son photoshoot. With a beautiful mom Jennyfer and her adorable little boy.
The photo shoot took place in the center of Amsterdam at the canals Brouwersgracht and Keizersgracht.
It was very fun to work with them and capture incredible mother and son moments. I couldn’t stop smiling while working with those beauties and also while doing the editing of their photos.
So I hope that this photos will also bring the warmth to your hearts 🙂

Sensual and beautiful wedding photoshoot
I am happy to share with you the result from my recent wedding photoshoot.
One week ago I had a chance to shoot a very beautiful wedding in Holland with these incredible love birds. Who’s love to each other can be seen from the moon.
And by looking at whom I want to buy a ticket to Paris and walk next to Siena listening Joe Dassin and thinking about love 🙂
Their weddingphotoshoot took place in a small city close to Amsterdam, called Purmerend.
We met before the big day to discuss all the details about their wedding. And when Melissa showed to me a photo of her wedding dress, I gave them an idea to have a photo shoot in two dresses. First in the official dress and then later on in a more comfortable dress to have more abilities to move to be able to take different type of photos.
We met first in their house where the beautiful bride Melissa with the help of her mum and best friend was getting ready.
She was very nervous as all the brides to be. And her mom and best friend were helping her with the dress and with letting the stress out. Then Ray arrived to see his future wife in her absolutely gorgeous wedding dress for the first time. And we went to the park next to their house for a photo shoot where we had so much fun with taking photos with the bubble machine and confetti.
I was very happy to be chosen as a photographer by Melissa and Ray.
Ray is a tattoo artist himself and when we met for the first time before the wedding he told me that he as an artist understands the difficulty when clients are telling you what to do. That’s why they give me all the freedom to do whatever I want. And it all went amazing.

Natural light and outdoor portrait photography
In this article I would like to share with you why I am a big fan of the natural light and outdoor portrait photography. And why outdoor beats the indoor 🙂
First of all I am deeply in love with natural light. I think that artificial light, as often used in studios, shows imperfections and brings them more to the front than natural light outside, when talking about portrait photography. Of course I love to use my studio for beauty or fashion photo shoots with professional make up. But for general portrait photo’s of “normal” people, as I call people who are like you and I, and know about modeling only from watching fashion magazines, natural light works the best. It helps to bring their best sides to the front and hide all the imperfections.
Further, I love the variety of backgrounds and scenery I can use for outdoor portrait photography. Whether it’s a shoot in the city center, or in the forest, there are always a lot of options to play with and make the photos come out a lot more interesting than using only plain and boring studio backgrounds.
Thirdly, outdoor portrait photography gives me endless variations for poses of my clients. Even by just shooting the person from the front and asking him or her to turn 180 degrees, you will get already 2 different photos with completely different light and surroundings. And now imagine how many interesting and cool photos it’s possible to make in 2 hours? 🙂 (Two hours is the usual duration of my photo shoots).
And last not least, according to my experience clients feel the most comfortable outside. If people don’t have any experience in modeling, then studio lights usually scare them and it takes a lot longer to get the best photos, than when I’m shooting outdoors. When I have my shoots outside, we just have a nice walk and I get to know my clients better. When I see a nice spot, I ask them to look at me, and simply take the picture. So they don’t even realise that the job is done already 🙂 Believe me, the photos come out a lot more natural and with real emotions.
I could keep talking a lot more about why I am so deeply in love with natural light and outdoor photography, but as they say: a picture is worth a thousand words. That’s why I would like to share with you my recent portrait photo shoot with Katya who has the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen, as a brilliant example why outdoor beats the indoor photography 🙂
This photo shoot took place in my favorite Park in Amsterdam, the Amstel Park.

Creative black light photography
In this post I would like to share with you the result from my ultraviolet photo shoot that took place in Amsterdam.
This one was definitely one of my most creative and fun photo shoots I have ever had!
And of course many thanks to the great team who participated there! I planned this photo shoot for some time already, but I couldn’t find the make up artist who is specialised in the uv make up for a while and also I had to find a special lamp for that shoot.
So once everything was found, we could do this magic together! 🙂
And also I am proud to say that this photo shoot was published by Le Fil d’Or Magazine
